Deezer awards 2019

Synth pop four piece Woman’s Hour are the latest winners of the Momentum Deezer Award.
The group were announced as recipients of an additional £2,500 worth of funding while nine more acts, including Attaque, Laura J Martin and Fear of Men, are among those to feature in the latest round of Momentum Music Fund support.
Woman’s Hour join the likes of JAWS and Bear’s Den in winning the additional backing. The Momentum Music Fund act receiving the most plays via the Momentum Deezer app wins the money.
Vanessa Reed, executive director of PRS for Music Foundation, said: ‘We are delighted to announce the latest batch of artists that will be receiving Momentum funding.
‘The standard of applications, yet again, was very high illustrating the need for support to help talented artists get to the next stage of their careers. Huge congratulations also to Woman’s Hour on winning the latest Momentum Deezer award which will give them the chance to build on what they’ve already achieved with the Momentum fund’s support of their debut album.’
Managed by PRS for Music Foundation, Momentum’s two-year programme awards grants of £5,000-£15,000 using funding from the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
The next deadline for applications to the Momentum Music fund is 28 October 2014 via the PRS for Music Foundation website. Click here to apply.
