Running Multiple Apache Instances. This is a Recipe for configuring multiple https instances. While writing this recipe I've noticed that there are other pages in this wiki that also deal with this subject, either tangently or in more direct ways. The Electronic Frontier Foundation, opining that 'In an ideal world, every web request could be defaulted to HTTPS', has provided an add-on called HTTPS Everywhere for Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Chromium, and Android, that enables HTTPS by default for hundreds of frequently used websites. Here is a short note on how to configure Apache to use a certificate file for SSL or How to enable https in Apache httpd server. After you enable SSL in the web server configuration, you should be able to access the application using https. Install The modssl Plugin 1.
